- Alarm wallOperations
- A video-wall view that brings a camera forward when an alarm or important event needs an operator's attention.
- AMCService
- Annual maintenance contract. An agreement covering the support and maintenance of surveillance equipment for a stated period.
- AvailabilityService
- The share of expected operating time during which a camera, recorder, site, or service was confirmed healthy by checks.
- Black pictureHealth
- A camera image that is too dark or obstructed to be useful, even though the camera may still be connected and recording.
- Camera healthHealth
- The current operating condition of a camera, including connection, picture usefulness, and its relationship with recording.
- ChannelDevices
- The position on a recorder assigned to one camera. A channel can lose video even when the camera's live picture works elsewhere.
- Click-to-viewOperations
- Opening a camera's live picture directly from an alert or ticket so an operator can verify the condition.
- DefocusHealth
- A loss of image sharpness that makes faces, objects, or events difficult to identify.
- Estate healthHealth
- A current view of whether cameras, recorders, pictures, recording, and sites are doing the job expected of them.
- Evidence exportRecording
- A controlled copy of selected footage and its supporting details for an investigation, claim, or review.
- Frozen pictureHealth
- A camera view that has stopped changing even though the camera may still appear connected.
- Last good pictureHealth
- The most recent useful image saved before a camera or picture check failed. It helps an operator compare the failure with the prior view.
- Local wallOperations
- A video-wall view served at a site so local operators can keep viewing local cameras during an internet outage.
- Moved cameraHealth
- A camera whose field of view has changed materially from the expected scene, whether by accident, maintenance, or tampering.
- Multi-OEMDevices
- An estate that includes cameras and recorders from more than one original equipment manufacturer.
- NVRDevices
- Network video recorder. A device that receives and stores footage from network cameras.
- ONVIFDevices
- An industry standard that helps compatible surveillance products from different manufacturers work together.
- Picture intelligenceHealth
- Checks that assess whether a camera image is useful, including black, covered, frozen, defocused, and moved views.
- PoEDevices
- Power over Ethernet. A way to carry electrical power and data to a camera through the same network cable.
- Recorder healthRecording
- The current condition of a recorder, its disks, channels, and ability to keep the required footage.
- Recording assuranceRecording
- Evidence that recorder disks, camera channels, and actual footage retention meet the operating requirement.
- Resolved emailService
- A message sent when a monitored condition recovers and the related ticket is closed or updated with the recovery.
- RetentionRecording
- The number of days of footage a recorder actually keeps before older footage is overwritten.
- SLAService
- Service level agreement. A commitment that defines expected service measures such as response, resolution, availability, or reporting.
- SLA timerService
- The running time attached to a ticket so the service team can see how long it has to meet the agreed response or resolution target.
- Video lossRecording
- A condition in which a recorder channel is not receiving or storing the expected camera video.
- War roomOperations
- A central command centre where operators view cameras, alarms, and estate health across many sites on one or more displays.
